Catch of the Day
Linnea and I read "Angelina Ballerina" on her new I Spy quilt. Thanks, G'Grandma!
Linnea and her cousins.
Marcos, Linnea and I tried taking a walk in this nice warm weather today, but Linnea would have none of it. We went around the block and came home for a nice warm bottle. Oh, well. We'll try again after naps if it is still warm enough.

Grandpa, All Those Cooking Lesson Are Paying Off!
Thankyou, Grandpa, for the new fruit treats! Ha, ha!!! Tricked Aunt Jill into giving me some BEFORE lunch!
Slippery little things....they keep sliding out of my mouth!
Hmmm...they need something...
So while Aunt Jill has her back turned doing dishes...
Look very closely....I see shiny new vegetables in the Chicken soup Grandpa made!
Alas....not so tasty, but a good experiment. Who wants pizza for lunch!
1st Overnight with Grandma and Grandpa
What a special night! Linnea spent the night with her Grandma and Grandpa Sunday night while Sean and I went to a Martina McBride concert at Van Andel Arena. Linnea was her normal sleepy self...to bed at 8:30, waking for a feeding at 5ish and then up when I got to Mom and Dad's at 7:30am so Mom could get to work.
Sean and I enjoyed the concert very much. It was a C-O-L-D walk from where we parked a few blocks away. I knew a lot more of her songs than I thought I did. When we left, Sean waited for me (ladies room) in front of a TV by concessions and caught the last play of the Packers game. Disappointing. I'm glad we weren't home to watch it.
Thanks for the pictures for this post, Dad.

Working on New Tricks
I have been trying to spend more time working on skills with Linnea. She is usually pretty tolerant for 5 minutes or so. We practice rolling and sitting.
I know I've said it....I'm so lucky I have to brag. Last night she was asleep by 9. I was ready for bed at 12:30, but heard Linnea moving a little. I made her a bottle, she ate and was sound asleep in 20 minutes. I didn't hear from her again until 7AM. It was so nice. Thanks Linnea!

2 months Old
Linnea had a visit with her doctor Thursday for a 2 month check up.
Her stats (I'm so proud):
11lbs 2 oz
23 3/4 in
and head circumference in the 75th percentile. She's got a great cranium!
Friday the 11th we will visit a urologist to find out if anything needs to be done about her stage 2 hydronephrosis. I'm anticipating that he will just monitor the condition as it seems most babies outgrow it.
Linnea is such a sweetheart. Very easy going and sleeps 5 to 7 hours most nights! I feel very lucky.
Linnea and her dog Killer. Not impressed with each other.
Pretty blue eyes.
